NFL futures release

Morning, folks.

The NFL schedule has been released, and we have our first futures bet of the season.

Las Vegas Raiders over 5.5 wins x 3 units

The Raiders won 3 games last season with a roster that was devoid of talent and competence on the coaching staff.

That’s been cleaned up a bit, to say the least. Klint Kubiak brings competency to the coaching staff, while Kirk Cousins brings consistency under center until Fernando Mendoza is ready to jump in.

The Raiders were active in free agency, as well, bolstering a few key positions, including their offensive line with Tyler Linderbaum and defence with the likes of Quay Walker, Nakobe Dean and Taron Johnson.

Also helps that an all-world talent like Maxx Crosby returns to rush the quarterback.

That’s all to say: this will be a MUCH more competitive team than the one we watched in 2025, and I like how the Raiders set up to find 3 more wins than they did a year ago.

The start could be favourable, especially if Patrick Mahomes finds his way onto the PUP to start the season: vs. MIami, @ LA Chargers, @ New Orleans, vs. Kansas City.

From there, we have several favourable matchups on this 4th-place schedule, including @ Jets, @ Browns, vs. Titans and @ Cardinals. Perhaps they can steal a game or two within the division, as well.

This win total is too low for a team that will simply be better.
