🚨🏈 CFL Week 7 best bet
Evening folks,
Last week was a tough one, as we suffered our first loss of the CFL season.
We actually appeared to cash our bet early fourth quarter until a penalty wiped it away, but such is gambling, so we move on.
We carry a 4-1-1 record into Week 7, where the board tightened just a bit.
Our best bet this week: Winnipeg Blue Bombers/Calgary Stampeders under 50.0 × 1 unit
This game will be played on Friday, July 18 @ 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Bombers and Stamps met two weeks ago in Calgary, where Winnipeg suffered one of its worst defeats in five years.
Nothing went right for the Bombers, including their defence, which was uncharacteristically susceptible to big plays while the offence struggled mightily.
Winnipeg has had two weeks to stew over that performance while on a bye week, and history would say they will come out much better in this one. Since 2017, they are 18-1 when coming off a bye.
But we aren’t taking the side in this one, we’re going with the total.
This is a matchup between the top two scoring defences in the CFL. Calgary has allowed just five offensive touchdowns all season, while the Bombers have yet to concede more than 23 points to an opposing offence.
Keep in mind, Bombers QB Zach Collaros tossed two pick-sixes in the last meeting. Without those, the teams would’ve combined for just 39 points.
The other side of this is that the Bombers remain one of the top scoring offences in the league, averaging over 28 points per outing. However, they will be down two huge pieces in this one, as LT Stanley Bryant and REC Dalton Schoen are out with injury.
This has the makings of a defensive battle. Both of these teams want to run the ball, and both hang their hats on their defences.
Let’s get back in the win column.
Good luck 🍀
